Model 1 Mod 1 Hatchet

These beauties have been in a time capsule for the last three years. They were actually made in 2014 and, due to other projects and various other things, weren't finished until just now.

This is the first model hatchet I ever made with a few small modifications from the original two. They are approximately 12 inches long with a cutting edge that is slightly over four inches. They are 1/4 inch thick O-1 tool steel hardened to 55 RC by Peters Heat Treat.

The handles on all of them are 1/4 inch thick G-10 epoxied on and held to the full tang with stainless Loveless fasteners.
